Henry E. "Pop" Loftin Jr. Obituary
Henry E. "Pop" Loftin, Jr., 77, of Millsboro passed away on October 17, 2014.

Mr. Loftin had served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. Afterwards, he had been a correctional officer for 21 years with the Delaware Correctional Center and the Morris Correctional Center in Dover. Pop was a resident of Wyoming for over 30 years and enjoyed sitting on his porch and waving to the people who went by. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. Pop enjoyed reading, Westerns, and playing the slots. Pop was the type of person who always supported his family and his grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Mr. Loftin was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Laura R. Loftin. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Henry Loftin, Sr. and Ilene Loftin: by his brother Jack Loftin, and by his extended family Laura Tribbett.

Pop is survived by his two children, Kimberly J. Minnick of Long Neck and her partner Skip Bassford and Jack M. Loftin and his wife Lisa of Dover; his brother, Bobby J. Loftin of Kingman, Arizona; five grandchildren: Sareana Feaster (Kenneth), Jesse Engelgau, Ryan Minnick (Samantha), Katie Loftin (Justin Hartnett) and Samuel Loftin; and four great grandchildren: Kylie Hastings, Lillian Feaster, Elena-Reign Engelgau and Layla Minnick.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday morning October 23, 2014 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Online condolences may be made via [email protected].
