Jane Ann Mattern Obituary
Jane Ann Mattern of Camden Wyoming passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 64.

Mrs. Mattern was born June 6, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pa to Cathleen McGinty Campbell and the late James M. Campbell.
Jane graduated from York College of Nursing in 1971, where she met her husband Michael Mattern, the love of her life. She worked from 1972 to 1973 at Baltimore Shock Trauma, 1973 until 1977 at Forsythe Hospital in Winston Salem, and she worked in her husband's medical practice in Dover from 1981 through 2012.

Jane studied at Wesley College and was working on advanced studies. She was on the Red Cross Board for many years, both county and state. She was on the Board of Directors at Wesley College and on the Board at the Biggs Museum. She also was a member of the Colonial Rotary Club of Dover.

Jane is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dr. Michael L. Mattern, her son Michael B. Mattern, and his sons, Michael Daniel and Lucas Christopher. She is also survived by her siblings, James Campbell and his wife Sue of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Rebecca Sinclair and her husband William of York, Pa., Karen Koepfer and her husband Paul of Pittsburgh, Pa., Chrysa Fulchiero and her husband Randall of Dayton, Ohio, Jeffrey Campbell and his wife Linda of Denver, N.C., Richard Campbell and his wife Kathy of Beaufort, S.C., and many loving nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10) in Dover on Monday, September 22 at 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Wesley College, 120 N. State Street, Dover, DE 19901 or , 92 Reads Way Suite #205, New Castle, DE 19720.
