Kathleen Brennan Obituary
Kathleen Brennan, 59, passed away Wednesday morning April 1, 2015 after a hard fought battle with pancreatic and lung cancer. She was successful in defeating breast cancer many years ago.

She was born on August 8, 1955 in Bourne, Massachusetts to the late Retired Lt. Colonel Joseph T. Brennan and Margaret C. Kline.

Kathleen had a great love of education and learning. She earned separate degrees in Physics and Mathematics. Her continuing education included certification in the NEST program from prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This certification enabled her to travel to the NASA at Cape Canaveral and bring lunar samples to her classroom. Kathleen used her considerable education by teaching students at the middle school and high school levels where she felt she could truly make a difference in their lives. She started at Campus Community School, and then went to Dover High School; she finished her teaching career at Milford Middle School and Milford Central Academy.

Kathleen was unselfish and giving of her time. She was a volunteer tutor who helped military veterans and special needs adults.

While working her way through college Kathleen was well known in the Dover area as a premier bartender. She worked at Cadeaux, WT Smithers, the Keg, Tapworks, and Plaza Nine.

Kathleen had a great love of dogs, both purebred and rescue. She was an accomplished breeder of Championship Rottweilers.

She is survived by her loyal canine companion Lexi.

In her spare time Kathleen enjoyed reading and cooking. Kathleen was passionate about music and the arts, attending many live concerts. She loved to travel and was adventuresome; living in Key West, Jamaica, and Hawaii before settling back down in Delaware.

She is predeceased by her father, Retired Lt. Colonel Joseph T. Brennan, her mother, Margaret C. Brennan, and her brother Robert J. Brennan. Kathleen is survived by her brother Matthew E. Brennan and his wife Cheryl of Dover, nephews and nieces, Ryan Brennan, Kyle Brennan, Kelsey Brennan, and Amber Brennan Smith and her husband Riley, and special friend Michael Rampmeyer.

Kathleen will be laid to rest at Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, Delaware. Services are private
