Magda "Peggy" (Lindner) Hallock Obituary
Magda "Peggy" (Lindner) Hallock passed away peacefully on July 15, 2014. She was 89 years old.

She was predeceased by her husband, LaVerne "Bud," in 1979, her eldest son, L. Fred Wolfgang in 1997, and her two brothers, Herbert "Harry" in 1971 and Wolfgang in 1992.

She is survived by twin sons, Harry of Alexandria, VA and Edward, and his wife Elaine, of Little Heaven, and a daughter, Linda, and her husband Fox, of Lincoln. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Anni Lindner of Munich, Germany and Gerti Lindner of Kaufering, Germany, and her nieces Petra Hilscher of Munich and Angelika Mayer of Grosskitzighofen, Germany and her nephew Wolfgang of Kaufering and her many wonderful and caring friends and neighbors.

Peggy came to this country from Germany in 1953 and arrived with her husband at Dover AFB in 1960 where they made a permanent home. She worked for the State of Delaware in the Department of Education and Delaware Technical and Community College for many years and retired in 1982, and remained active by volunteering at the DAFB Pharmacy for over 20 years. In the 1970s she was instrumental in petitioning the State to take over the roads in her neighborhood of Baker's Choice and getting them paved; she also petitioned and got approval for a traffic light on Route 1 at Bowers Beach Road to address significant traffic concerns on summer weekends. In 2008, while in her 80s, she petitioned to have the county include Baker's Choice in its sewer system. She was a founding member of the Dover German/American club and served briefly as a citizen volunteer for Senator Joe Biden.

Interment will be private at Arlington National Cemetery. A celebration of Peggy's life will be held at a later date.
