Raymond R. "Ray" Cola Obituary
Raymond R. Cola (Ray) passed away peacefully on October 31, 2015, at Kent General Hospital after a short illness.

He was born in Pottsville, PA on October 12, 1946, to the late Dante' and Edith Jean Cola.

Ray graduated from Nativity BVM High School in Pottsville, PA in 1965. He graduated with a degree in accounting in 1968 from Goldey Beacom Junior College in Wilmington, DE. He then moved to Dover to work for ILC Industries, Inc., followed by L.D. Caulk in Milford, retiring from the City of Dover in 2009.

Ray was gentle man who was totally devoted to his wife and family. He cherished his four grandchildren and time spent with his family. He enjoyed gardening, singing, cooking, traveling, carpentry and there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. He was a member of the Community Singers for many years. Ray was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church, having sung in the traditional choir for over 25 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 47 years, Claudia Cola of Dover, their daughter Kimberly Brown (Scott) of Greenville, NC, their son Dave Cola (Abigail) of Christchurch, VA and their grandchildren Morgan Brown, Nicolas Brown, Teal Cola and Wade Cola; two brothers, Alfred Cola (Dorian) and Dante' Cola (Georgi); five sisters, Lorraine Kimmel, Jeanine Cola, Carolyn Bachert, Barbara Yannaconne (Arthur) and Tina Souchak (Dave) and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 Wednesday evening at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior.
