Snooky Powell Obituary
Snooky Powell, of Dover, passed away, Sunday, December 20, 2015, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 79.

Snooky was born, April 20, 1936, in Dover, DE to the late, Casper and Madeline (Tribbett) Powell.

Mr. Powell was employed with Diamond State Telephone for 35 years; and had also worked as a realtor for Lore-Ellis Realty for many years. He was a lifetime member & past chief of the Magnolia Fire Company; a member of the Union Lodge # 7, Free & Accepted Masons, of Dover; a lifelong member of the Maple Dale Country Club; and a life member and past president of the Otter Run Fishing Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and sportsman; who enjoyed shooting pool and playing cards.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Deats Powell, who passed in 2007.

Snooky is survived by his daughter, Patti Fransisco and husband, Paul; two step-sons, Mike Williams and his wife, Pam; and Brett Williams and his wife, Karen; his sister, Diane Cahall and husband, Donald; four grandchildren, Ryan Fransisco and wife, Megan; Zach, Zoey, and Weston Williams; and 2 great-grandchildren, Patrick and Finley Fransisco; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 1 pm, Sunday, December 27, 2015, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where family and friends may gather from 11 am to 1 pm. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Dover, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Bowers Beach Maritime Museum, 3357 Main St. Frederica, DE 19946 or to the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, 2 N. Main St., P.O.Box 55, Magnolia, DE. 19962.
