Bonnie Jean James, 97, A dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother was received into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 16, 2014. She was born in Denton, TX on November 26, 1916 to the late Baughn and Lela Beatrice Mote Stone. She was predeceased by her sister Christine Hale Bentley of Electra, TX. Bonnie was married to the love of her life, the late G.M. (Jesse) James on April 28, 1939. She is survived by her two sons , Terry & Nancy James of McKinney, TX and Richard & Diane James of Lake Jackson, TX who will treasure her memory. As will her nephew, Mickey McKnight. Bonnie's grandchildren, Terri Lynn (Allen), Brian (Patricia), Lara (Mike) and Lindsey (Aurelien) will miss her very much; as will her great-grandchildren, Meagan, Jake, Elizabeth, Katherine and Allison. Born to a pioneer woman who herself lived to 103, Bonnie's life was shaped by the Great Depression. Through hardships like the Depression, Bonnie kept her faith in The Lord and her zest for life. She was instilled with a Loving spirit and a reverence for nature and good music. She loved her Church and was a proud and active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ada, OK. Bonnie was a quilter, gardener, prolific reader (especially of history) and an avid antique collector. Bonnie and Jesse loved to travel to antique shows throughout the United States – from New York to Colorado and frequently visited weekend sales in Canton, TX. Bonnie and Jesse shared their love of antiques with Terry and Richie. Bonnie was a strong woman who was a three time cancer survivor. We will miss you dearly, Bonnie Jean! A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 2:00pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 2000 West White Ave, McKinney, TX, 75069, Dr. John Blacklock, Pastor. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made, in Bonnie Jean James' name, to the Susan G Komen foundation. Willis Conrad "Jack" Jackson was born on June 26, 1940 in Artesia, New Mexico to Ted and Josie (Justice) Jackson and passed from this life on August 24, 2014 at his home in Bennington, OK at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 29 days. Willis attended school at Indianola near McAlester and then enlisted in the United States Navy. Willis proudly served his country during the Vietnam Conflict earning several awards including 2 Bronze Stars. After his honorable discharge, he moved to Texas and worked as a main frame operator in the computer industry. He later married Margaret Holden on March 16, 2005 and he retired to Bennington. He was an active member of the Patriot Guard Riders of Oklahoma and the Victory Life Church in Boswell. He loved to read, ride his motorcycle with Margaret and enjoyed working outdoors, but most of all he loved his time with his family. Willis was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eddie, Q.D., Wayne and Duford Jackson and his sister, Wanda Lavarnway. Willis is survived by his wife, Margaret Jackson of home; son, Jeffrey Alan Jackson and wife Jennifer of Coppell, TX; daughter, Shellie Jackson of Irving, TX; grandchildren, Ruby and Elijah Jackson of Coppell, TX; brother, Rick Jackson and wife Karen of McAlester, OK; step children, Eric, Carl, Stephen and Daniel Teal and Heather Johnson; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; 1st wife and mother of his children, Wynonne Jackson and many close friends. A celebration of Willis's life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Bishop Funeral Home in McAlester, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com .
