Bessie McKinney

Bessie Enola McKinney passed peacefully in her sleep and went home to be with the Lord Sunday night. She was a loving Mother, devoted Grandmother, and faithful friend to many, but most of all she was a Christian who lived her life to encourage faith in her family. She will be missed.

Enola was born in Honey Grove, Texas, to James Carl Johnson and Beulah Lee Hall Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mattie Bell (Mary) Mullins Gage, and her brother, Carl Ray Johnson.

She is survived by daughter Reeca Jane Pulliam and husband Ken, daughter Lahoma Gail Goad and husband Dale, and son Harold Joe McKinney, grandchildren Christopher Pulliam and wife Noriko, Kendra Pulliam, Clint Goad, Scott Goad, Taylor Goad and wife Kate, Hunter McKinney, and Hayley McKinney, and great-grandchildren Sydney & Sarah Pulliam.

Family Hour will be Wednesday, April 9, from 6:00-7:00 P.M., at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 10, at Seventh & Beech Church of Christ. Layne Heitz and John Curtis will officiate, with singing led by James Coats. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, and her cousin, Hal Nesbitt.
