LaVerne Gregory-Tribble

LaVerne "Dot" Gregory-Tribble a resident of Bonham, Texas and precious family member passed peacefully from this earth in Denison, Texas on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the age of 78 years 2 months and 16 days.

She was born to Harley William and Leary Dolly Mae (Phillips)(Seay) Reagan in Armstrong Academy, Oklahoma on Sunday April 12, 1936.

LaVerne was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign War's (VFW) Women's Auxiliary, and had also been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She worked as a G5-12Marketing Specialist for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and while employed there she enjoyed singing with the agency choir, and playing on the agency bowling league.

LaVerne loved country dancing, tea dancing, ballroom and square dancing.

LaVerne Tribble is survived by her husband Sanford Tribble of the home; son, Doyne Gregory and wife Patty of Brownington, Missouri; daughter, Debbie Gregory of Bonham, Texas; grandchildren, Wayne Gregory and Abby Mosley of Mt. Vernon, Texas, Lee Gregory and wife Chantile of Brownington, Missouri, Heather Gregory of Deepwater, Missouri and Amber Anuquoe and Josh Voss of Brownington, Missouri; sisters, Retha Inez Ingersoll of Sugar Land, Texas, Wilma Johnson of Bonham, Texas, Nancy Doyle of Bokchito, Oklahoma and Helen Booth and husband David of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; brothers, Jim Reagan and wife Sharron of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Glen Reagan and wife Madeline of Morman Lake, Arizona; Sanford's children, Tracy Ann Pirowski of Odessa, Missouri, Butch Tribble and wife Tanya of Griffith, Indiana, Michael Tribble and wife Debbie of Odessa, Missouri and special friends, Donna Voss and Kristy Brese; 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Mae; daughter, Patricia Ann Gregory; son, Darrell Wayne Gregory; husband, Howard Leroy Gregory; sister, Pat Thompson.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 7-8:00 PM Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito, Oklahoma with Bobby Phillips officiating.

The pallbearers will be Tracy Doyle, David Doyle, Wayne Gregory, Jerry Thompson, Dean Phillips and Josh Voss.
