Sue Buchanan

 Sue (Walker) Buchanan entered this life on March 5, 1939 in Marlow, born to Frank and Loretta (Chesser) Walker, and passed from this life on January 30, 2014 in Sherman, Texas at the age of 74.

Sue attended and graduated from Marlow High School in 1957 and moved to Durant in 1975 where she attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Sue was a receptionist for most of her life but was known to do a little bit of everything and a jack of all trades she has been told. Sue was a member of the New Comers Club, The First Christian Church of Durant where she was a part of the ladies group, and was involved in the Renaissance Club at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She enjoyed Facebook, reading, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and family and she dearly loved her dog Bella.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Loretta Walker; husband Jim Buchanan; and her great-aunt Tommye Wright.
She is survived by her son, Donnie Husband and wife Hollie of Ada, Oklahoma; daughter, Kristin Corbin and husband Scott of Durant, Oklahoma; step-daughter Sidney Fleming and husband Bob; grandchildren, Lauren Gibson, Rachel Corbin, Jay Husband, Mayson Husband, Noah Ligon, Aaron Ligon, Caleb Ligon, Joshua Ligon, Danalynn Ray Husband, Hadlie Janelle Husband and Alex Fleming; her beloved dog Bella Buchanan and other extended family and friends.
A celebration of Sue's life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 3, 2014 at the First Christian Church in Durant. Pastor Bill Ledbetter and Chris Pierce will officiate. Interment will follow at Marlow Cemetery at 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Red River Special Olympics. Online condolences may be sent to the family at
