Ken L. Cornelison entered this life on February 15, 1932 in Red Oak, Iowa born to Guy and Doris (Sickman) Cornelison and entered the Gates of Heaven on February 25, 2014 in Denison, Texas at the age of 82.

Mr. Cornelison attended school in Red Oak, Iowa and graduated from Des Moines, Iowa High School. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army serving in the Korean War and was honorably discharged after 4 years of service. He owned and operated a wholesale meat processing company in Farmington, New Mexico. After moving to Durant he married Frankie (Ham) Story on June 3, 1989 at the First Christian Church in Durant. He sold cars for Buddy Spencer Ford, Jim Tyler Ford and Woody Motor Company in Madill. The last 15 years he was in real estate sales and received many awards. He was associated with Goad Realty and Bryan Appraisals in Durant. He proudly accepted the Lord and was baptized at the age of 61 and was a member of the First Baptist Church and attended the Adult IV Sunday School Class. He loved to square dance and was the best. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren and loved going to watch NASCAR and the Dallas Cowboys with his son John. He loved cooking and was famous for his Thanksgiving Day turkey. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Doris Cornelison; mother in law Alma Miller of Atoka; brother Howard Wesley Cornelison; sister Darlene Anderson; daughter Denise Webb in April 2012; son Dick Cornelison and aunt Bernice Clymer.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Frankie Cornelison of the home; son John Cornelison and wife Cindy of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brother Richard Cornelison and wife Ardith of Red Oak, Iowa; step children Bobby Story and wife Melissa of Durant, Keith Story and friend Stacey Reirdon of Durant, Tommy Story of the home and Lisa (Story) Thomas of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren Cassidee Cornelison, Codee Bell, Lacey Whitworth, Robyn Bradshaw, Tracy Hotz, R.D. Andersen, Misty Bergman, Jeffrey Webb, Jackson Stuteville, Lhauren Chitwood and husband Tanner, Robert R. Story, Bradley Story, Eric Story and wife Nina, Julie Lillybridge and husband Dillion, Jake Cobb and Zachary Thomas; great grandchildren Jamison Bell, Jensen Bell, Cortland Bell, Abigail Whitworth, Brigham Whitworth, Emily Whitworth, Hunter Bradshaw, Lexi Bradshaw, Heidi Hotz, Alexis Marie Story, Kaitlyn, Logan, Jackson and Zewreanity.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Durant with Rev. James Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Robert Story, Jackson Stuteville, Eric Story, Brad Story, Jake Cobb and Tommy Story serving as pallbearers.
