Mary Faulds

Mary E. Faulds entered this life on August 9, 1943 in Katana, Pennsylvania to Lloyd Clark and Marion Jennive (Hilliard) Reid and entered the Gates of Heaven on October 6, 2013 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age 70.

Mary graduated from LaSalle High School in Niagara Falls, New York and later married Darwyn T. Faulds Sr. on November 24, 1961. They moved to Durant in 1991 from Midwest City, OK and together they owned and operated the McDonalds Restaurant until their retirement. Mary was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Durant and she was very active in RSVP, Bryan County Youth and the Special Olympics. She enjoyed watching football, going to see her grandchildren in their school functions and visiting her "home" Choctaw.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Clark and Marion J. Reid; brother, Arthur C. Reid; and father and mother in law, Thomas W. and Lurelda J. Faulds.

Mary is survived by her husband of nearly 52 years, Darwyn T. Faulds Sr. of the home; daughter, Sharon L. Robertson and husband Robbie of Durant, OK; son, Darwyn T. Faulds Jr. and wife Susan of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, Billy Robertson of Houston, TX, Becky Robertson of Tulsa, OK, Mary Beth Robertson of Durant, OK, Anna Grace Faulds of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Preston Faulds of Mt. Pleasant, SC.

Services to celebrate Mary's life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Durant. Rev. Jim Shroyer will officiate. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery with Dan Earley, Jim Dipento, John Kilpatrick, Larry Conditt, Butch Scalf, Ralph Terrell and Jack Liwai serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
