Bert Cloyd Jr. of Silo, Oklahoma, was born on June 28, 1927 to Bert Sr. and Ruby Mae (Basham) Cloyd in Nowata, Oklahoma. Bert went to be with his Lord and Savor on December 2, 2013 at the age of 86 years.

Bert married Frankie Busby on July 29, 1960 in Durant, Oklahoma and spent many years together until her passing on July 13, 1995. Bert was a farmer and was active in the Silo FFA and 4H Alumni.He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed livestock shows, riding shotgun with Mike Nelson and visiting daily with Monk Hendricks.

Bert is preceded in death by his parents Bert Sr. and Ruby May Cloyd; wife Frankie Cloyd; sons Michael Cloyd, Charles Cates; two sisters and one brother.

Bert is survived by his son Randy Cloyd and wife Cindy of Silo, Oklahoma; daughters Kathy Reid and husband Joe of Silo, Oklahoma, Teresa Edwards and husband Harvey of Mead, Oklahoma; brothers Dean Cloyd of Durant,Oklahoma, John Cloyd and wife Glenda of Amarillo, Texas, Bob Cloyd and wife June of Fairbanks, Alaska, Edward Cloyd and wife Barbara of Elk City, Oklahoma; sister Betty Legrande of San Antonio, Texas; Ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Bert will be Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Brown's Funeral Service Chapel in Durant, with Rev. Randy Lewis officiating.

Interment will follow at Silo Restland Cemetery with Dennis Cullum, Nathan Hart, Gerald Lummus, Mike Nelson, Dudley Rowland, and Johney Rowland serving as pallbearers. James Serner, Monk Hendricks, Mike Impson, Dan Lyday, Al Hendricks, and Kenneth Decker will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Online condolences can be made to the family at Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service, Durant.
