Billy Carr

Billy Dale Carr entered this life on November 29, 1956 in Vinita, Oklahoma born to Billy Murray and Mary Lillian (Massingale) Carr and passed from this life surrounded by his family and friends on January 12, 2014 at his home in Calera at the age of 57.

Billy and his family moved to Bryan County in 1957. He served his Country in the United States Air Force and United States Army. He married Lawana Rishay Miller on January 20, 1995 in Love County, Oklahoma and he worked as a carpenter. Billy has been a member of Narcotics Anonymous since October 18, 1988. He enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles. He dearly loved his family, friends and the Recovery Program.

Billy was preceded in death by parents Billy M. and Mary L. Carr.

Those loved ones left behind to cherish his memory are, his loving and devoted wife of 19 years Rishay Carr of the home; children Brandon Carr and wife Jennifer of Durant, Bitina Carr of Ft. Worth and Levi Miller of Calera; grandchildren Lillian Carr of the home and Brinlee and Alyson Carr of Durant; sister Deborah Ross and husband Charlie of Durant; many nieces, nephews and loyal friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Hagerman Cemetery in Grayson County, Texas. Bro. Ronny Ford will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6- 7 P.M. and a Recovery Meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in Hagerman Cemetery with Jay Stevens, Kevin Brosofski, Victor Ratcliff, Mike Baird, Ed Phelps and David Spencer serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Russell, Jerry Howard, Merwin Walker, Charlie Ross and David Ross. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
