Born in Munich, Germany on August 15, 1960, to COL (Ret) Gerald R. Holland and Dorothy A. Holland, both deceased. Darby passed away from a recent illness at his residence in Durant, Oklahoma, on March 26, 2014.

Darby is survived by his son, Bronzson Holland of Lubbock, TX, sister Daneen Roy of Jericho, VT, brother Scott Holland of Great Falls, VA, stepmother, Av Holland, and sister-in-law Gail Morris, of Duncan, OK as well as several nephews, nieces, extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, David R. Morris of Duncan, OK.

Darby's passion as a cyclist, in the 90's and early 2000's allowed him to compete and race across most of Texas, southern Oklahoma and California. He once rode from Dallas, TX to Colton's Point, Maryland to a family reunion. There were the rides up Pike's Peak, Mount Scott and the surrounding Duncan, Oklahoma area. Darby once placed 4th in Wichita Falls' (TX) "Hotter-N Hell 100." Darby worked in Residential Property Management. He spent years managing properties in California, Washington DC and Texas areas.

Darby was the type of person who would give you the shirt off of his back, if you needed it more than he did. The past several years were very difficult for him and those who loved him. Our hearts are saddened at having lost him. He lives on in his handsome son and in the memories we have of him. Darby, we will miss you! We love you and know you have found peace and happiness in Heaven with Our Father, mom, dad, Randy and all who love you who have passed before you.

Darby's life will be celebrated at Brown's Funeral Service in Durant, Oklahoma during a Memorial Service on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at Services are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service, Durant.
