James Ray Kirby

James Ray Kirby was born on Feb. 11, 1966 in Hobbs, NM. Kirby passed away on Feb. 9, 2014.

He is survived by his wife Lelia "Suzy" Kirby of Cartwright, OK., two daughters; Sara Maddox, Jessica Maddox and her husband James Taylor and one son Christopher Maddox all of Cartwright, OK., his mother Della McElyea of Cartwright, OK. and four brothers; Bobby Kirby and wife, Frankie, Holly Kirby and wife, Pat, Ricky Kirby all of Cartwright, OK., and Bryan Crowley and wife, Katie of Hobbs, NM., five grandchildren, Alex McCombs, Kailey Keith, and Audrie, Danielle and Isabella Taylor all of Cartwright, OK. As well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth "Bo" Kirby of Fayetteville, TX.; his brother-in-law Robert "Laike" Whinery of Wichita Falls, TX.; and nephew Joshua Fulkerson of Albuquerque, NM.

James owned and operated "You're Here" RV park in Cartwright, OK. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, stoking his wood burning stove and spoiling his grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed.
