Wayne Jordan entered this life on October 10, 1930 in Durant, OK born to Luther Columbus Sr. and Lena C. (Loveall) Jordan and passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Durant at the age 83 years and 30 days.

Wayne graduated from Durant High School and attended the University of Oklahoma and later graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and later retired from the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He married Mary Lou Richardson in Durant on December 22, 1949 and they were blessed with 60 plus years together until Mary Lou's passing in 2010. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Durant Elks Lodge and the NRA. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching football.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister Catherine "Mudge" Morrow and brother Luther Columbus Jordan Jr. Wayne is survived by his children, Mary Kay Nabors and husband Larry of Durant, Waynette Taylor of Durant, Ronald Wayne Jordan and wife Barbara of Muskogee and John David Jordan and wife Lisa of Bennington; sister Lois Ellison of Durant; brother Joe Charles Jordan of Durant; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services to celebrate Wayne's life will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Danny Wood officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Highland Cemetery with Larry Nabors, Clark Grimes, Don Taylor, Lucas Jordan, Michael Hunter and Dane Nabors serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be AJ "Muggs" Culbreath and Bill Garner. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.
