Jerrie Elaine Reynolds of Platter, OK entered this life on September 3, 1948 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Fred and Lorene (Crisp) Washer. Jerrie went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2014 at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 9 days.

Jerrie came to Bryan County in 1951 from Bucyrus, Ohio and has lived in the area for most of her life. She attended Platter Elementary and Colbert High School where she was a part of the 1966 1st Alternate All-State Basketball team. On March 1, 1968 at the Platter Baptist Church, Jerrie and Larry Reynolds were united in marriage. She worked as a Post Master in Platter for most of her life. Jerrie loved attending her Church at Platter Baptist where she enjoyed teaching her 1st through 3rd grade students. Jerrie loved children, feeding the youth group every Wednesday night was a passion she enjoyed very much. In her free time she enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, canning vegetables from her garden, spending time at the cabin, going to town with her sisters, shopping and traveling, especially to watch Jeff fish in his tournaments. In 2010 Jerrie, along with her 1965-1966 basketball team, was inducted into the Bryan County Hall of Fame. Jerrie will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Jerrie is survived by her loving husband Larry Reynolds of the home; son Jeff Reynolds and wife Amanda of Platter, OK; sisters Barbara Sexton and husband Gerald of Platter, OK, Carolyn Patton of Platter, OK; sister-in-law Betty Reynolds and husband Kenneth of Denison, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Her parents Fred and Lorene Washer preceded her in death.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Jerrie will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the Platter Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Speers officiating and assisted by Bro. John Heath. Interment will follow at the Garden of Memory Cemetery in Colbert, OK with Ronald Washer, Bob Krueger, Chuck Townsend, Dub Porterfield, Nathan Brixey and Charlie Geiger serving as pallbearers. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be sent to the Platter Baptist Church.
