Lazona Joan Campbell entered this life on June 18, 1933 in Albany, OK born to H.A. and Leona Mae (Adams) Farrell and entered the gates of Heaven on June 12, 2014 in Durant, OK at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 25 days.

A lifelong resident of Bryan County, Joan attended school in Albany and later married J.D. Campbell on January 28, 1950 in Durant. She retired in 2003 from the Durant Public Schools after 18 years of cooking for many school aged children. She was a faithful member of the Faith Baptist Church in Bokchito where she taught Sunday school to children and adults and served the children at Falls Creek. She enjoyed playing "Bunko", sewing and painting. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. The family wants to thank Dr. Mike Lee and the staff at Oakridge Nursing Center for the loving care given to Joan.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Austin Campbell and sister, Stella Gean Bateman.

Joan is survived by her husband of 64 plus years, J.D. Campbell of the home; children, Cynthia Masters and husband Larry of Irving, TX, Vicki Campbell and fiancé Randy Lively of Sharon, OK, Ricky Campbell and wife JoAnn of Colorado Springs, CO and Jeff Campbell and wife Pam of Bokchito, OK; brother, Allan Farrell and wife Cathy of Mingus, TX; grandchildren, Andrea Riner and husband Tracy, Jeremy Nichols and wife Rachel, Michal Miller and fiancé Monika, Stefanie Addington and husband Drew, Jennifer Gebert and husband Mike, Melissa Bais and husband Christos, Amanda Campbell, Charlie Campbell and Ethan Campbell; 12 great grandchildren and many extended family.

Services to celebrate the life of Joan will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 16, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church in Bokchito. Bro. Phillip Rowland and Bro. Scott Melton will officiate. Interment will follow in Bokchito Cemetery with Drew Addington, Christos Bais, Jeremy Nichols, Tracy Riner, Charlie Campbell and Ethan Campbell serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 5-7 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at
