Deborah Ann Wagnitz was born on December 13, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan. She passed from this life on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the age of 51 in Norman, OK.

Debi grew up in Livonia, Michigan and graduated from Kimball High School in Royal Oak, MI. She was employed by Standard Federal Bank for 15 years, prior to moving to Durant.

Debi moved to Durant from Michigan 11 years ago to be closer to her family.

After moving she volunteered at the Hands of Hope Food Bank and then was employed by Victory Life Child Development Center, and Victory Life Church and later went to work for the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma for a short time.

Her hobbies were gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with family. She always loved to bake and bring co-workers special treats. Her family loved to receive her pumpkin bread each year during the holidays. Debi was a member of Victory Life Church in Durant and loved volunteering and serving others.

Debi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin and Elsie Wagnitz and Alexander and Vivian McKay.

Debi is survived by her mother Joan Elland and husband Don of Naples, Florida, her father Tom Wagnitz and wife Janet of Marietta, Georgia, sister Susan Szepelak of Las Vegas, NV and brother Tom Wagnitz and wife Christy of Durant, OK. She was loved very much by her seven nieces and nephews : Brian and Alex Szepelak of Las Vegas, NV; Andrew Wagnitz, Sherman, TX; Meagan Prince and husband Kolton of Durant, OK and Madison, Emily and Aaron Wagnitz of Durant, OK.

Deborah's wishes were to be cremated. A Memorial Celebration of Deborah's life is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 10 at Victory Life Church in Durant, OK.

Pastor Lee Armstrong will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hands of Hope, 724 W Main in Durant, OK 74701.
