Jesse M. Dean a resident of Coleman, Oklahoma passed from this life in Ardmore, Oklahoma on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the age of 82 years and 14 days. He was born in Folsom, Oklahoma to Elmer Olen and Fanny Gertrude (West) Dean on Monday, July 20, 1931. Jesse was married to Viola Yandell on January 17, 1952 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, she passed away on July 30, 1996.

Jesse served his country and community in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the; Folsom Freewill Baptist Church, the Painter and Allied Trade #53 and the Caddo Masonic Lodge #4. Jesse loved to go to That Country Place and dance. He enjoyed playing dominoes and watching his kids play ball. But most of all Jesse loved the time he spent with his family.

Mr. Dean is survived by his daughter, Linda Herider and husband James of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; son, Steve Dean and wife Anita of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, James Herider, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John Herider and wife Cynthia of Norman, Oklahoma, Trevor Dean and wife Tamara of Durant, Oklahoma and Lauren Lotspeich and husband Anthony of Durant, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Madison Dean, Tyson Alexander, Aaron Dean and Ethan Dean all of Durant, Oklahoma; brother, Leon Dean of Folsom, Oklahoma; special friend, Frances Cash of Kingston, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Charlie Head of Armstrong, Oklahoma.

Mr. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Gert Dean; wife, Viola Dean; son, Jesse Don Dean; daughter, Angie Head; grandson, Zachary Dean.

Family Hour will be from 7-8:00 PM Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Funeral Service in his honor will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Folsom Freewill Baptist Church in Folsom, Oklahoma with Rev. Rayden Whitmire officiating. Interment will follow at the Coleman Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Trevor Dean, James Herider, John Herider, Robert West, Billy West and Dennis Meadows.
