Haskell "Sonny" Dill

Haskell "Sonny" Dill was born May 29, 1936 in Boswell, Oklahoma, the son of James Dill and Era Mable (Moore) Dill and had lived in Boswell all of his life. He married Mary Elnora Beck on June 28, 1955 in Hollis, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on September 9, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Rory Dale Dill; a daughter, Glori LaDess Hensley; three sisters, Clovis Bacon, Clora Hammonds and Josephine Hayes; five brothers, Larry Dill, Dewey Dill, Calvin Dill, J.B. Dill and James Calvin Dill, Jr. and one great-grandson, Jericho Olson.

Sonny was a trader by heart. He liked trading horses, chicken fights and going to the coffee shop, but most of all he enjoyed family get-togethers with his loved ones.

Survivors: Three sons, Matthew Dill and wife, Patricia of Calera, Oklahoma, Marcus LC Dill and wife, Zene of Calera, Oklahoma and Dewey Monroe "Duke" Dill and wife, Kari of Boswell, Oklahoma; two daughters, Resa Laneau Duncan and husband, Harry of Mansville, Oklahoma and Veta Marissa Massengale and husband, Bobby of Bennington, Oklahoma; a son-in-law, Ricky Hensley of Calera, Oklahoma; one brother, Gwen Dill of Boswell, Oklahoma; two sisters, Clementine Barker of Bowie, Texas and Odessa Eastwood of Boswell, Oklahoma; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews along with many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m.., Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the funeral home in Boswell, Oklahoma.
