Kellie Ann Ames Gubler
Kellie Ann Ames Gubler, 36, passed away after a valiant 3 year battle with Breast Cancer
on April 24, 2013. She was born on September 15, 1976, in Provo, Utah to Glen C and Jana Jackson Ames. She was married to David Phillip Gubler on August 7, 1999 in the St. George LDS Temple for time and all eternity.
Kellie was raised in Richfield, Utah, where she graduated from High School. She was Miss Richfield in 1995. She received her Associate's Degree from Dixie State College.
Kellie was very active in supporting others battling with cancer. She created a chapter in Southern Utah of the Young Survivor Sisters. She helped with the passage of Senate Bill 189 in the 2013 Utah Legislature. She testified on behalf of cancer patients to receive parity in receiving oral chemotherapy.
Kellie had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and was active in the LDS church where she served faithfully in several callings. She had a strong passion for family history and loved the Temple. Kellie's faith in our Savior was a blessing to all those that knew her. Kellie loved to sing. She often shared her testimony of Jesus Christ through song.
She is survived by her husband, David Phillip Gubler, Washington, Utah, children, Bailee (11); Donovan (8); Alysa (5). Parents, Glen & Jana Ames, Richfield, Utah; Brothers, Nicholas Jackson Ames (Angela), Enoch, Utah; Derek Busenbark Ames (Charlyn) & Tyler Glen Ames, St. George, Utah.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the LDS chapel located at 1835 South Washington Fields Road, Washington, Utah. There will be a viewing on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Spilsbury Mortuary, located at 110 South Bluff Street, St. George, Utah. There will also be a viewing on Saturday April 27, 2013 from 11:00am-12:30pm, prior to the funeral.
