The Guest Book is expired.
Anneliese Flora Buggert Ence, 98, slipped peacefully beyond the veil on July 3, 2013 at her home. She was born on January 11, 1915 to Gustav Ferdinando Buggert and Lina Flora Seifert in Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany, where she spent in idyllic childhood. After her family joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they immigrated to America and made their home in Provo, Utah.
Anneliese was a bright, young student that excelled in art and home economics. Shortly after graduating from Brigham Young University, she came to "Dixie" to pursue a teaching career in various subjects which included: art, physical education, home economics, English and German. She was a beloved teacher for 38 years who is lovingly referred to as "Frau" by many of her former students. She retired from teaching in 1977.
Always active in the church, Anneliese served in many callings which included, Stake Young Women President, as well as serving a full-time mission with her husband in the Alabama, Birmingham Mission. They also served as ordinance workers in the St. George Temple for 14 years. Her devotion to her church and service throughout the community reflected well of her love for her Savior and her stalwart testimony. She was a great cook, a gifted seamstress, and an outstanding fisherwoman. She loved to work alongside her husband both picking peaches in the orchard and gathering pine nuts to enjoy with family. She enjoyed work as much as play and was often seen outdoors beautifying both her yard and her home.
Anneleise's family was always a priority in her life and her example radiated that devotion. She is survived by her children: Susan Ence, John Robert (Janeen) Ence, James Norman (Debbie) Ence and Gregory Lee (Jill) Ence; 20 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by beloved husband, Kenneth Ence; their son, Kenneth Gustav Ence; a daughter-in-law, Penny Ence; and an older brother, Erich Buggert.
