Joseph "Earl" Robinson
The Guest Book is expired.
Joseph "Earl" Robinson, 68, was born on May 2, 1944 in Richfield, Utah and returned peacefully to his heavenly father on Sunday, April 21, 2013, after a five year battle with tongue cancer.
Earl was an avid outdoors man. He loved the Kaibab and knew it like the back of his hand. He was generous with his time and talents, frequently helping cut and deliver wood for those in need. He was always ready to serve others in anyway possible, and many joked that when they came to ask Earl to serve on a project, he was already there.
Earl turned his love of cars into a family run business, operating the first Napa Auto Parts store in Kanab and building up a successful auto mechanic shop. He enjoyed going to car shows and drag races alike. He was a dedicated member of the LDS Church, serving a calling for three years as the Kanab Rest Home Coordinator, and serving on the High Council as Activities Coordinator.
On December 28, 1998 Earl and Pam were sealed for all time and eternity in the Saint George Temple.
He loved his children and grandchildren, and told his wife Pamela that he will be waiting for all of them on the other side.
He was preceded in death by his father Whit Robinson, mother Melba Betensen Robinson, brother James "Red" Robinson and brother Oscar "Ted" Robinson. He is survived by his loving wife Pamela Robinson, son Joseph "Darren" (Lisa) Robinson, daughter Delia (Kevin) Robinson-Carman and son John "Devin" (Erin) Robinson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Breana Robinson, Derek Robinson. Taysja Robinson, Karlee Robinson, Kaycee Carmen, Kylee Carmen, Julianna Painton, Cameron Robinson and Daisy Robinson.
The family will receive friends for a viewing on Friday, April 26 from 7:00 - 8:00 PM at Mosdell Mortuary and from 9:45 - 10:45 AM Saturday April 27 at the Kanab Stake Center 20 W Center, Kanab, Ut. A funeral service celebrating Earl's life will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the LDS Missionary fund. Funeral arraignments were made with Mosdell Mortuary.
