PAROWAN - Margaret Pendleton Adams, 95, of Parowan, Utah, passed from this life on Feb 27, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born October 8, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Margaret spent most of her life in Parowan where she attended school and spent her early married years. She also lived in Arizona for several years. While in Arizona she worked alongside her husband, Howard M Adams, in the motel and nursing home business. In 1978, they retired and returned home to Parowan. Retirement years were filled with her family and friends. Margaret was always known for her beautiful yard and bounteous garden which was shared throughout the community. She was an active member of the LDS church throughout her life and served in many different callings. She and her husband, Howard, also served a mission in the Houston, Texas area.

She is survived by her sons William H. (Susie), Wayland K. (Elizabeth), Rickie M. (Kathleen), Gerald W. (Fred), and Kevin F. (Carrie) along with 14 grandchildren and 14 (soon to be 16) great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Howard M. Adams and her grandson Jonathan. She is also survived by her brother, Kent (Marilyn) Pendleton, her foster daughter Susan (Bill King), numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A viewing and visitation will be held at the Parowan 3rd Ward Relief Society Room Monday, March 3rd from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Graveside Services will be held at the Parowan Cemetery on Tuesday March 4th at 11:00 am. There will also be an open house memorial on Wednesday March 5th at The Wellington, 4522 South 1300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah where Margaret lived for the last few years.
