Cedar City, Utah
William "Bill" Richard Flowers, 60, loving son, husband, father, grandfather, returned to his Heavenly Father after an untimely accident May 15, 2013.
During his life he received a myriad of certifications and degrees but would rather be remembered by how he treated his fellow man. Bill was known for his big heart. He devoted most of his life in the service of the disabled that reside in the southern 11 counties of Utah. He loved the outdoors and looked forward to the weekends when he and his wife Frances would camp. Hot air balloon festivals were a favorite along with backyard barbeques and hunting trips. His pride and joys were his grandchildren. He rescued the stranded, fed the hungry, and lifted the spirits of the depressed.
He will be deeply missed by all his family and great number of friends. He is survived by his parents Richard "Dick" and Mary Flowers of St George; his wife Frances Joy Hadley Flowers of Cedar City; his children: Billy Joy and Chris Heaton of Enoch, Charles and Fiona Flowers of Cedar City; his siblings Marilee and Barney Chapman of Pleasant View, Steven and Kathy Flowers of Washington, Carol Flowers and Kyle Anderson of Salt Lake City, and Gary Flowers of Washington; and 5 loving grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 N 300 W, Tuesday May 21, 2013 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Additional viewing will be held at Cedar Stake Center, 155 E 400 S, Wednesday May 22, 2013 from 11:30 to 12:30. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm.
