Pauline Carretta Obituary

Pauline Carretta
July 13, 1945-May 6, 2013
Resident of Danville
Pauline was born in Queens, New York and graduated from St. Michaels Academy. She had a career in various Administrative positions to include the National Institutes of Health and recently worked with her daughter at VetEquip in Pleasanton for the past ten years. She loved life and being a Mom and was a diehard San Francisco Giants fan. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, walking Kali, and spending quality time with family.
Pauline is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Frank, daughter and son-in law, Pauline and Scott Shull, of Bothell, WA; daughter, Marie Carretta of Livermore, and grandson Christopher Carretta of Livermore. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Nina and Joe Newsome of New Hyde Park, NY; Marie and Nick Kirkikis of North Babylon, NY, and her sister-in-law, JoAnn Carretta of Walnut Creek. Her smile, laughter, and generous spirit will forever live in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known her. Her greatest gift was her love for her children and grandson.
Friends and Family are invited to a visitation on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 5-8pm at Oakmont Memorial Park & Mortuary, 2099 Reliez Valley Road in Lafayette. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013, 11am, at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 440 LaGonda Way in Danville with reception immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests a donation be made in her name to a charity of your choice.

Dear Frank and girls,
Jan Cadigan just told me about Pauline's passing. I was so shocked and saddened to hear that her kind, lively light is gone. We had so many great memories from the Danville Bowl on Fridays with you both. Ironically, Lou died this past April 3 and so maybe the two of them are raising cain together somewhere. Hugs, Phyllis Raposa
