I am friends with Richard and Susan through our church, and recently lost an adult son to brain cancer. While our circumstances are not the same, I know you are feeling many times more pain. My heart and prayers go out to you. -- John Whelan

Jo, Joe and Teresa
So sorry to hear of your great loss. I remember John the baby of the family as so loving and a little shy. I remember him dancing at Teresa's wedding with friends. Although it has been many years since I have seen John and all of you since moving to Idaho, he seems to have grown into a wonderful young man that was deeply loved by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. My love to all of you.

My love, thoughts and prayers go out to John's family and friends during this tragic and unfortunate time. I was lucky enough to have J Mac as a roommate and work out partner for a year and a half during our time at Cal Poly. There was no one that was more kind or thoughtful to me during our time living together. I had the privilege of listening to him sing every morning in the shower. And I will never forget his soulful rendition of "Maybe I'm Amazed". He had the most soothing voice. May you finally be at peace, my friend.

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting and knowing John as he was roommates with our son Blake for two years at Cal Poly and in the same fraternity. John was always friendly and gracious when we visited and we considered him a wonderful friend and fraternity brother to Blake.
Our heartfelt condolences to John's family during this very difficult time. Our prayers are with you all.
Sincerely,
