Jon Scott Obituary

Jon Little Scott
Oct. 22, 1932- Jan. 10, 2018
Resident of Moraga, CA
Jon died peacefully at his home in Moraga, where he has lived for 50 years. He was born in Pampa, TX, to Harry E. and Helen L. Scott. Jon is survived by Jean, his wife of 51 years, son Jeffrey (Wendy) and grandson Devon; and his daughter Janna Scott Roeseler (Karl). Jon served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He received an Undergraduate Degree in History from Yale University and a Master's Degree in Business from University of Texas. Moving to California, he was a 28-year employee of the Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco. He then worked in the Office Emergency Services for the County of Santa Barbara for 8 years, commuting from Moraga. At the time of his death, Jon was an employee of Oracle in Pleasanton. Jon also served as Treasurer of the Town of Moraga and on the Board of Moraga Park and Recreation. Jon was an avid reader throughout his life. The family suggests donations in memory of Jon to the Friends of Moraga Library Foundation, P.O. Box 192, Moraga, CA 94556 or to charity of your choice. At Jon's request, the family held a private ceremony on the Bay.
