Margaret was born in Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland to Christopher and Ellen McNamara. Later living with her family in London and completing her education there. Margaret immigrated to New York City at age nineteen relocating to San Francisco three years later, where she met and married Jack Stark. They married in 1966 eventually settling in Walnut Creek, where they continue to live.
Margaret is survived by her husband Jack, sons James (wife Kathy), John and Edward, grand children Grace, Hannah and Charlotte. She is also survived by brothers James and Christopher McNamara, sisters Susan Bull and Caroline Stark. Margaret is also survived by the many children of her siblings and their children, in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Margaret worked as a stenographer in the insurance and banking industries, later changing to education administration retiring from Diablo Valley College as a Senior Administrative Assistant in 2003.
Friends and family are invited to OAK PARK HILLS CHAPEL, 3111 N. Main St., Walnut Creek for a visitation Wed. Jan. 29 from 5 to 7 pm and Vigil service at 7 pm, and to the Funeral Mass, 11 am, Thurs. Jan. 30 at St. Stephen's Church, 1101 Keaveny Ct., Walnut Creek. Private interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or .
