Steve Shoop July 30, 1955 - Jan. 22, 2014 Resident of Hayward Steve Shoop was born on July 30, 1955 in Syracuse, New York. He went to school at P.V Moore High School in Central Square, NY and obtained his GED while serving in the United States Army. He entered the Army in October of 1974. While in the Army he became an Ammo Specialist as well as a Firefighter and received a Good Conduct Medal in 1979. He did a tour in Korea and was discharged in 1983. Steve was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather, a great brother, and a tremendous friend. He was always a sports fan. He played Softball on many leagues and ran many 10k races in his younger years. He loved the New York Yankees, the San Francisco Giants, the Oakland As, the New York Giants, the Oakland Raiders, as well has his favor sport, fishing, with his family and friends, and riding his Harley. Steve is survived by his wife, Kathy; mother, Sharon; daughter, Jennifer, her husband and their 3 daughters; son Gabe and his 2 daughters; 5 brothers, 4 sisters as well as extended family and friends. The funeral service will be at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward on Tues. Feb. 4th, 2014 at 10:00 am. Chapel of the Chimes (510) 471-3363
