Edith was born in Brooklyn, NY. Her family moved to Albany, NY when Edith was a youngster. She was introduced to the love of her life, Verne, by her Brother Tom. The families were inseparable. While Verne was on active duty in the Army in Europe, Edith was active with the Red Cross and the local war efforts. They wed on
Valentine's Day 1944 while Verne was home on leave. The family moved to California in 1957. Edith and Verne were active members of the San Lorenzo Baptist Church, now known as The Cornerstone Fellowship. They traveled every time they could. Alaska, Hawaii and almost every state in the US were visited. There were many pictures and stories told about their adventures. Edith worked as a school secretary with the San Lorenzo Unified School District. She was respected and loved by many educators and children. Verne passed away after 59 years of marriage. Edith moved to Sparks in 2004 to be closer to Donna, Kristy and the famiily.
