Mark Curtis Dodd Obituary
Mark Curtis Dodd Aug. 29, 1970-May 27, 2014 Resident of Livermore Mark loved his family above all else, especially his daughters, Morgan and Mackenzie, followed by his love of the Chicago Blackhawks and Da Bears. His home was always open to family and friends alike, and nothing made him happier than to host big get-togethers for all to enjoy. He was a General Contractor and Carpenter by trade, but his true passion was growing peppers. He grew all sorts of pepper varieties from seed, most too hot for anyone but him to enjoy! He was so enthusiastic about it, others partook in his pepper tasting against their better judgment, just to share in his joy. Mark always looked forward to golf, or any sort of competitive endeavor, with his friends and brother Bill. He was a man with a kind and generous heart, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Mark is survived by his wife Donna, and aforementioned daughters Morgan and Mackenzie. He is also survived by his parents Bill and Donna, brother and best friend Bill, sister Kim, brother Mike (Julie), and aunts, uncles, nieces, a nephew, cousins, friends, and in-laws too numerous to list. He was pre-deceased by his grandparents, and his nephew Chad. Our family would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses at Sutter Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley for their care of Mark, and their kindness and empathy for the entire family. We would especially like to thank Shirley who was Mark's nurse throughout most of this difficult time. Services will be on Sunday, June 1, 1:00 pm. at Graham-Hitch Mortuary, 4167 First St., Pleasanton. Reception to follow at 436 Virginia Drive in Livermore. If you would like to make a donation in Mark's memory, please do so to benefit the .
