1935 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Patricia Anne Marin
November 5, 1935 ~ June 27, 2014
Resident of Orinda
Patricia Anne Marin was a wonderful woman who lived her life with purpose. When she set her mind on a task, it was done with amazing efficiency and precision, but always sprinkled with love and fun. She was a loyal woman of her word, full of patience and grace.
She was born in Rosemead, CA on November 5th 1935 to Lillian and Captain Harry W. Leiser. Pat and her brother, Wes moved frequently all over the country. Being a daughter of a naval officer during wartime produced many challenges and trials. But these experiences forged within her a combination of patient endurance and a strong sense of fairness, which she carried into every relationship she had.
She went to Albany High where she met her husband, George Marin. They married February 2, 1958 and together they shared a treasured bond, weathering many of life's heavy trials and deepest joys for 56 years. They lovingly raised two children, Steven (Concord) and Karen (Paris, France). They continued to share their love, care, and guidance with their daughter-in-law, Roxanne and their grandchildren, Lizi, Patrick, and Becca.
Pat was blessed with a smart, sharp mind, which she exercised often through her hobbies. She was an avid reader, gardener, seamstress, word puzzler, and student of history.
Pat died peacefully in the early morning hours of June 27, 2014. Though Pat is not with us physically, she will always be carried in the hearts of those who love her and miss her deeply.
