James Donald "One Ton" Tinsley(1935 - 2013)

Don "One Ton" Tinsley has gone to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ. A very popular local car salesman for 49 years was born in Mangum, Oklahoma on January 23, 1935, and left this earth to be with his mother, father and 11 brothers and sisters on September 30, 2013. Don, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, was a member of Central Baptist Church where he had served as director of the "65 to Heaven" class for over 30 years. A long time youth baseball and adult softball coach in Clovis, he is survived by his wife, June Tinsley; two sons, and daughters-in-law, Randy and Tonya Adrian of Rio Rancho, NM and Buddy and Yolanda Adrian of Colorado Springs, CO; one daughter and son-in-law, Donita and Rick Garris of Colorado Spring, CO; along with 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, October 5, 2013, 10:00 a.m., at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis, NM, with Military Honors provided by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard. The family request that in lieu of flowers that charitable donations be made to the Lighthouse Mission 407 L Casillas, Clovis, NM 88101 or "Celebrate Recovery of Clovis % Faith Christian Family Church 3401 N. Norris Clovis, NM 88101.
