Margaret B. Beasley Obituary
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Margaret B. Beasley, 90, of Las Cruces, NM.  Our hearts rejoice that she was greeted at the Golden Gates of Heaven by her beloved husband, Harlan, on Friday, June 13, 2014. Margaret was a wonderful homemaker, seamstress, and sports fanatic who was active in St. Paul's Stitching for Christ group, retired teachers, and Ladies Extension Club. Margaret lived in Clovis for 35 years and worked as an elementary school librarian at Cameo Elementary before she retired and moved to Las Cruces in 1985 to be closer to her children. Margaret was born in Danville, Tennessee on July 19, 1923, the only daughter of Kenneth and Eura Lee Bell.
Those left to mourn her passing are her two sons, Don (Patsy) Beasley, and Jeff (Kim) Beasley. She was Nana to grandchildren, Brad (Kathy) Beasley, David (Kimberly) Beasley, Damon Beasley, and Dana Beasley. Called GG by her great grandchildren Zachary Beasley, Beaux Beasley, and Lucas Beasley. She is also survived by her brother Bill (Jimmie) Bell, Mike Bell, and sister-in-law Lorene Barnes, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years Harlan Beasley who passed in 2009. There will be a visitation at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 225 W. Griggs Ave. on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 9am with a celebration of her life at 10am by Senior Pastor Dr. Eduardo Rivera. Burial will take place on Monday, June 23, 2014, at 10am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brad Beasley, David Beasley, Damon Beasley, Dana Beasley, Ernest Lara, Mark Baker and Bryan Chippeaux. Our family would like to give a very special thanks to Mesilla Valley Hospice- La Posada and Mountain View Hospital for their wonderfully caring help and support at this incredibly sad time for our family. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mesilla Valley Hospice would be appreciated.
