BAKEWELL, David79, of Mesa, AZ passed away on March 11, 2011 after a valiant battle against cancer. Born in La Crosse, WI & raised in Lansing, Iowa, Dave retired to Phoenix in 1975 after a 22 career as a SMSgt in the United States Air Force. His passion was genealogy. He is survived by sister Margaret Welch, Lansing IW; sisters-in-law Virginia, of Gilbert, AZ & Ruth of Tulsa, OK; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves behind to morn his loss countless friends from the Air Force & genealogy families. He was preceded in death by his parents Art & Peggy; brothers Jim and Bob. Per his wishes, there will be no services. Burial will occur at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. Donations are welcome to: Banner Hospice, 275 German Rd. Gilbert, AZ 85297.
