Published by Legacy Remembers on May 18, 2004.
John Manusharow, age 58, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2004. In John's last weeks with us, no truer form of courage, strong will, and absolute dedication could have been shown. Although cancer ravaged his body for the past three and a half years, whenever anyone asked how he was, the reply was always, “good”. John was born in Germany on September 4, 1945. His family immigrated to the United States when John was 4. They later settled in Rockford, IL. John attended East High School and Northern Illinois University before entering the U.S. Army. He married the love of his life, Bonnie Woodward in 1973. John, Bonnie, and their two sons, Mat and Drew moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1986. He was employed with the Michael Weinig Group as the Southwest Regional Sales Manager until he became ill. His true passion was his family and friends. He enjoyed attending and coaching his sons' soccer and volleyball games. He loved spending weekends entertaining his friends.
