Lance Joseph Adams, 15, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2005. He leaves a legacy of being a hard worker, showing kindness to all, loving God, family and friends, respecting others and choosing the right. Lance was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lance excelled at playing the piano, guitar, and in sports, which included basketball, baseball, wrestling and swimming. Lance was a sophomore honor student at Mountain View High School and lettered the past two years on the Varsity Swimming Team. He loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting - an excellent marksman. Lance will be remembered, among other things, for his example and his great smile. Lance is survived by his parents, Kent and Kristin; sisters, Alexandra and Erika; grandmother, Suzanne Gherkins; grandparents, Dean and Janet Adams; great-grandmother, Trilba Gherkins; and many cousins, uncles, aunts and friends who will miss him greatly. Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing at 10:00 a.m. at the LDS Mountain View Stake Center located 1550 N. Val Vista Drive, Mesa, AZ. Lance's viewing will occur Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at Bunker's Garden Chapel, 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, AZ.
