SCOTT, Irvin Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Irvin R. Scott, 85, of Gilbert, AZ, and formerly of Las Cruces, NM, entered eternal life on Monday, June 23, 2008 at his home. He was born September 26, 1922 in Garland, WY to Homer and Edna Harrington Scott. Mr. Scott served his country honorably in the United States marine Corps during WWII. He retired from the Apollo Project at NASA as a quality control supervisor. Mr. Scott touched the lives of many children as a story teller. He is best known for his story "Teeny Weeny Land." Survivors include his living wife, Mary Ellen Shoemaker Scott of the family home; four daughters, Glenda Bucci and husband Jim of Fairacres, NM, Laura Shea and husband Bob of Vancouver, WA, Dorthy Littlefield and husband Cal of Gilbert, Kassandra Poole and husband Gary of Albuquerque, NM; two brothers, Wendell Scott of Edgewood, NM, Harvey Scott of Greeley, CO; two sisters, Eula Fisher of Boulder, CO and Ellen Wilcox of Fresno, CA. Other survivors include seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clinton Scott; two sisters, Velda Wilcox and Dorthy Brown. The funeral service for Mr. Scott was held in Las Cruces, NM in Baca's Chapel of Prayer. Concluding Service and Interment followed in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military honors accorded by the marine Corps League - El Perro Diablo Detachment. Serving as casket bearers were Jayson Poole, Michael Kawa, Remy Carrasco, Wendell Scott, Zeke Bucci-Torres and Randy Scott. Sign the Guest Book at
