Doris Lea (Soward) Cochran, of Roseville, California, passed away on June 2, 2013.
Doris was born in Hominy, Oklahoma to Joseph and Pearl (Kirkendall) Soward on January 31, 1923. In 1944, she graduated from St. Joseph's Nursing Hospital in Ponca City. She married Lloyd Wayne Cochran on May 19, 1944 in Oklahoma City. While raising her three beloved children, she worked as a registered nurse for many years. She was the evening supervisor at Marion General Hospital and, later in her career, the Director of Nursing Services at Emily Flynn nursing home. She was also a member of Red Cross Volunteers of Marion General Hospital, Psi Iota Xi sorority, and Methodist Women of the First United Methodist church.

She was an avid sports fan and would never miss watching a Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, or IU Hoosier game. Above all, she was a supportive and caring mother, wife, sister, and grandmother who took the greatest joy in seeing her family happy.
