Gloria Steen passed away peacefully in the presence of her family from a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was 87 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gay and Bud Mullins; her sister, Marilyn Mullins; her loving husband, Harold Steen; and their first born son, Richard Steen.
She is survived by her sister, Audrey Mullins. She is also survived by her son, Randy Steen; his wife, Patsy and their two sons, Matthew and Nathaniel and their families; her daughter, Angela Steen Clark and her three children: Fallon, Breanna and Tyler and their families; and children of Richard Steen: Rachelle, Eileen, Kendra and Cory and their families.
Gloria graduated from Tamalpias High School in Mill Valley, College of Marin, and later received her Master's degree in Psychiatric Social Work from Sacramento State University. She worked as a Social Worker until her retirement.
Memorial services will be held on August 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Auburn. Donations in lieu of flowers may be directed in her honor to: St. Luke's Episcopal Church or Assistance League of Greater Placer.
