Mavis Edna Isaacson was born in Manchester England on January 5, 1926, she passed away on February 20, 2013.
Mavis served in the English Land Army during World War II, coming to America on the Queen Mary as an English war bride. Mavis gave countless hours to St. Mathew's Episcopal Church teaching children and singing in the choir. In the later years she joined PEO and developed many wonderful lasting friendships. Mavis moved to Colfax to live with Kim and Nick many years ago, and enjoyed life in that community, finding her place in the Sierra Pines Methodist Church.
Mavis is preceded in death by her husband Victor Isaacson, son Dale Isaacson, grandson Bill Bean, parents Walter and Florence Livesey, brothers Wally R.A.F., MIA in 1940, and Kenneth.
Mavis is survived: by her children, Dana (Dawn), Kim (Nick), Dion (Carol), and Sara (Steven), nephew Keith Livesey of England, many grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday March 15, 2013 at 11:00a.m. at Sierra Pines Methodist Church, 22559 W. Hacienda Grass Valley, Calif.
