Bonnie Lynne Baker Gilbert died unexpectedly early in the morning Saturday, September 14, 2013 with her husband Jack Gilbert by her side in Lincoln California. Born November 26, 1942 in Hobbs, New Mexico, raised in Redford, Michigan, Bonnie has been a resident of California for the last 49 years. She lived in the Napa Valley for 40 years where she raised her family and worked for the County of Napa first as an administrative assistant to the County Administrator and then as a supervisor in the Department of Human Resources before she retired in 2004 after 30 years of service. She is survived by her husband Jack Gilbert of Lincoln, Calif., daughter Cheryl Lynne McBeth and son-in-law Mathew McBeth, grandchildren Cameron and Kelsey McBeth all of Rocklin, Calif., brother Rev. Victor Halboth Jr. of Redford, Mich., and multiple nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Victor Halboth Sr. and Erna Halboth, brother Phil Halboth MD, and son Cullen Yeaton Baker III. Bonnie loved her family unconditionally and will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services celebrating her life on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4701 Grove St. Rocklin, CA 95677. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
