Christina Dunton passed away with a grateful heart full of love in the morning of Wednesday February 26, 2014. She died in the home of her family in Phoenix, where she had been spending this past winter enjoying good food and good company while undergoing treatments for cancer.
Daughter of Erik Harald Orvarsson and Inga Magnusson, Ebba Marta Christina was born on July 24th, 1940 in Helsingborgs BB, Malmohus, Sweden. She grew up with her mother and adopted father, Anders Davidsson.
Christina moved to the United States in the late 1960's after traveling throughout Europe and Turkey during her early adult years. She met her husband of 42 years, Richard Dunton, in San Jose and they married in 1971. Christina worked at SRI International in Menlo Park where she and Richard enjoyed most of their married years together. In 2002 they retired to Auburn, Calif where they both built many new dear friendships. Richard passed away November 18, 2012.
Christina's love for her family, her friends, and her community was the joy of her life. She actively expressed her love by enthusiastically participating in, and generously contributing to, as many family and social gatherings that she could partake in, such as the Auburn Symphony League and the Princeton Club. She made friends easily with her happy disposition, delightful social skills.
Christina is survived by her sister Charlotte Davidsson, her nieces Malin Davidsson, Petronella Andersdotter, Karin Andersson and her nephew PerIngemansson of Sweden. She has joined her late brother, Thomas Davidsson. She is also survived by her step-family in the USA which includes Linda Allan, Tracey and David Coddington, Monty Dunton and Tori Arguello, Randy and Pascale Dunton, Konrad and Patricia Dunton, Yvonne Dunton and Robert Salisbury, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will all miss her love very much.
