John A. Fraux
5/17/1912 - 4/30/2013

John passed away suddenly and peacefully at his home at Gold River Care Home late in the evening of April 30, 2013, 17 days shy of turning 101. His wife Mary preceded him in death in 2004.
John leaves behind his daughter, Jeannie Bryan and son-in-law, Jeff; grandchildren: Lisa Candiloro (John), Scott Bryan (Julie) and Jeffrey Bryan; and his great-grandchildren: Alexa Bryan, Dominic Candiloro, Nina Candiloro and Cole Bryan.
John led a full life. He was born in San Francisco and lived some of his youth in France. He was a bartender in Hollywood and Newport Beach serving many of the famous and movie stars of the day. He came to Auburn in wartime and was stationed at Camp Flint and in 1946 became a "postman" walking his route by foot until his retirement in 1974.
He was a quiet man who loved to read and learn. He had the most wonderful gardens and was talented in many things.
His wishes were to have no service but will be laid to rest in Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario, California next to his wife.
