Martha Eveline Wilson Chevreaux

Martha Eveline Wilson Chevreaux passed away quietly with family on June 30, 2013. She was 89 years old.
She was born in West Butte, Calif., to Cora May Belding Wilson and Charles Cleveland Wilson on April 5, 1924. She moved to Auburn in the 1940s where she met and married Joe Chevreaux. They had three children, Joseph, Jr., Martha Susan, and Matthew.
Martha and Joe actively supported the Auburn community and were known for the hospitality of their home. She founded and was charter president of the Sierra Discovery Doll Club of Auburn.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, her younger son Matthew and grandson Matthew. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Dora Wilson, Dorothy Price, and half-sister Barbara Jennings Hines. Martha is survived by Joe Jr. (Meredith) of Texas, Martha Susan Allen (Terry) of Arizona, Matthew's widow Terisa Chereaux-Pettiway, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her brother Charles Woodrow of Washington State and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral arrangements are under the auspices of Chapel of the Hills, Auburn.
In accordance with her wishes, interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name may be made to the , the , or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
