Steve Medlin

Stephen David Medlin was born to Bill and Jean Medlin May 20, 1950. He passed peacefully after a short illness on February 14, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Christian. He will be missed by his siblings Michael (Sandra), Christopher (Cindy) and Gail Adams (Steve). He is survived by his beloved nieces and nephews, Matt, Josh, Jake, Zack, Mariah and Heather.
Steve moved at a young age to Auburn, his home was on Landis Circle, an area at the time that had many kids to play and grow up with. He attended schools in Auburn and graduated from Placer High, went on to Sierra College and Sacramento State.
He was an avid reader and retained most of what he read, several years ago he suffered a stroke which greatly restricted his ability to read and write. He loved the local rivers and spent many hours on the American, Bear and the Yuba River. Being well read he had strong opinions on a wide variety of areas and was not adverse to expressing them.
He wrote poetry and at the passing of his nephew Christian and his father Bill he wrote poignant poems and read them at their memorial services. His family is sure he is now in a better place joining his mom and dad.
His family would like to thank the Rock Care Center and Sutter Auburn Faith Hospice for the wonderful care he received.
