William "Bill" Neall Mc Reynolds was born to Chester and Ethyl Mc Reynolds in Arbuckle, Calif, he was the tenth child of a blended family. The family moved in 1933 from Meridian Calif., to Magalia, Calif when Bill was two years old. Bill lived there and helped to run the family sawmill until he left home to marry and have his first family. On October 23 1982 Bill married Betty Gemmell in Auburn Calif., they were married for 30 years.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Betty, his sons Mike Mc Reynolds (Julie), Bob Gemmell (Nancy), David Gemmell, and Jim Gemmell (Patti), daughters Linda Gemmell, and Bunny Smith (Bruce), 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a huge blended family. He is preceded in death by his sons Billy and Jerry Mc Reynolds.
Bill closed his logging company and started Mc Reynolds Equipment Rentals and operated equipment until he retired at the age of 72 and started growing tomatoes. Bill was proud of his tomatoes, his family, and his work ethic. Bill had a joke, a smile, good advice, and a kind word 'till the very end,' Bill was loved and will be missed greatly.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday November 17, 2012 at the New Auburn Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at Bill and Betty's home after the service. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Sutter Hospice Foundation.
